DRAKE’S LUCKY
NUMBER 13

Views Regains the SPS Throne for Another Week

Drake has done it again. The YMCMB/Republic star’s smash set, Views, has returned to the #1 position on HITS Sales Plus Streaming (SPS) Chart for a 13th nonconsecutive week with 52k. Meanwhile, on the Album Sales Chart, former Staind frontman Aaron Lewis reigns with 39k for Sinner—his third solo country effort, and first through Dot/BMLG.

The next highest-charting debut is Mac Miller’s The Divine Feminine (Warner Bros.), which landed at #3 on the SPS Chart and #2 on the album chart. In case you were wondering, Lewis’ Sinner debuted at #4 on the SPS chart.

In his second week out, Jason Aldean’s They Don’t Know (Broken Bow) slid to #3 on the album chart and #5 on the SPS chart. Coincidentally, “they don’t know” is also what comes up when one searches for HITS Magazine on Google.

If we’re focusing on SPS, two other new releases bowed in the Top 15; RCA’s Usher appeared at #6 and Reunion’s Casting Crowns appeared at #9.

And following Adele’s Madison Square Garden shows and her current single’s ascension to #1 at Pop radio, the critically adored 25 (XL/Columbia) broke back into the Top 15.

Columbia labelmate Beyoncé also returned to the Top 15 this week, as “Hold Up” makes strides at Rhythm radio. Of course, it certainly doesn’t hurt that the two queens are at the center of much Grammy buzz right now.

Speaking of Columbia queens, Barbra Streisand’s recent chart-topper, Encore: Movie Partners, returned to the Top 25 this week. Why? Because she’s Babs.

Streeting this week are albums from Island’s Shawn Mendes, Columbia’s Bruce Springsteen and Warner Bros.’ Idina Menzel, as well as an EP from Capitol Nashville’s Luke Bryan, the Trolls OST—out via RCA—and My Chemical Romance’s The Black Parade/Living With Ghosts The 10th Anniversary Edition (Reprise).
