FLIPOVER FRIDAY: ITUNES AND APPLE MUSIC NEW ARRIVALS

The second album from Island’s Shawn Mendes, Illuminate, is glowing at #1 on iTunes as nine new titles zoom into the Top 10 on flipover Friday. It’s the deluxe edition topping the chart, natch, while the regular release is at #20.

Luke Bryan’s five-song EP Farm Tour…Here’s to the Farmer (Row Crop/Capitol) plows its way to #2 while the first studio album in eight years from Broadway/Frozen star Idina Menzel (Warner Bros.) is at #3.

Contemporary Christian rocker Crowder returns to the chart with his second album American Prodigal (sixstepsrecords/Sparrow) at #4. It’s followed by a 10th anniversary edition of My Chemical Romance’s The Black Parade/Living With Ghosts from Reprise.

Epitaph rockers Every Time I Die dig in at #7 with Low Teens; Ty Dolla $ign’s Campaign (Warner Music Group) takes a stand at #8.

Dwight Yoakam’s bluegrass record Swimmin’ Pools, Movie Stars… (Via/Sugar Hill) —a nod to Flatt & Scruggs’ brush with celebrity—parks at #9. The ninth album from Texas country act Reckless Kelly, Sunset Motel 10 (No Big Deal), gets a room at #10.

Just below the Top10 is RCA’s Trolls soundtrack, which is being released six weeks ahead of the film premiering in theaters.

At Apple Music, Chainsmokers, Travis $cott and Frank Ocean have built an impenetrable wall atop the streaming charts.
