KOKAKIS UPPED
David Kokakis has been promoted to the role of EVP/Head of Business & Legal Affairs, Business Development and Digital at UMPG. He will report to COO Marc Cimino.
He most recently held the post of SVP/Head of Business & Legal Affairs and Business Development, and he's led UMPG’s business affairs in North America since 2011.
He's handled negotiations with Apple Music, Google Play, YouTube, Amazon, Pandora, Genius, SoundCloud and Music.ly, as well as with artists and songwriters like Billy Joel, Imagine Dragons, Justin Timberlake, Justin Bieber, Eminem, Selena Gomez, Nick Jonas, et al.
And in a move that shows the expansion of his reach, Kokakis recently joined the Board of Directors of the Canadian Music Publishers Association and the Board of Directors of the Canadian Musical Reproduction Rights Agency.
