DOMINO'S DYER JOINS CHRYSALIS
AS MD

The recently relaunched Chrysalis Records has hired Domino Records exec John Dyer as Managing Director. Dyer joins after nearly a decade at the British indie label.

As Director of Domino since 2005, Dyer had a hand in the breakthroughs of Franz Ferdinand and Arctic Monkeys. Previously, he was GM of PIAS Recordings U.K. and also worked for Mute Records as Marketing Manager. Dyer started his career working in the sales teams for Rough Trade and London Records.

Chrysalis CEO Jeremy Lascelles said that Dyer will “be a huge asset here at Chrysalis Records and is an indication of the ambitions we have for the label."

Dyer added: “It had to be a very special company and challenge for me to make a move and taking on the MD position at Chrysalis fulfills both those criteria.”

In other personnel news, former Virgin Records, Warner and Global Talent Publishing exec Dermot James has been appointed General Manager at Chrysalis. He’ll be responsible for logistical, operational, administrative and royalties across all the portfolio including Chrysalis Records, publishing firm Blue Raincoat Songs and Blue Raincoat Artists.
