Screen Gems' new thriller, Don't Breathe, took the top spot at the domestic box office this weekend, earning $26m. It also received rave reviews, which resulted in a solid 86% Rotten Tomatoes score. And the film is certainly a financial success, considering its low budget of $9.9m.
The Top 5 bow for Lionsgate's Mechanic: Resurrection is also rather impressive, as it is the first wide release from the company's specialty distribution label, Lionsgate Premiere, which launched in spring 2015 and seemed to be more focused on on-demand releases and the streaming space until now.

Meanwhile, now just outside the Top 10, Lionsgate's acclaimed recent release, Hell Or High Water, which stars Jeff Bridges, Chris Pine and Ben Foster, continues to grow financially as it opens across more theaters. It was up 38% this week, earning $3.7m, as it tacked on another 437 locations
