Virgin EMI star Emeli Sandé has teased her first new music in more than three years, and the two-minute clip sounds sweet. The Scottish singer/songwriter's second album, out in September, could be one of UMG U.K.’s most exciting releases this year.
Sandé went stratospheric with her debut Our Version of Events in 2012, hitting #1 in the U.K., selling over 2.2m copies and spawning four Top 5 singles.
Since then, she's launched Jupiter Management as a JV with Roc Nation alongside longtime assistant Ruth Titmarsh.
Sandé’s new record will go through Clive Cawley’s marketing team at Virgin EMI. Label boss Ted Cockle has said he hopes to make a bigger inroad into the U.S. this time around, where the album will go through Capitol Records.
Inhale, exhale, release and let yourself receive forgiveness.
