LIL YACHTY'S HIGH SAILS
QC/Capitol’s Lil Yachty sailed through The Novo Theatre in DTLA Friday night for a jam-packed performance titled The Boat Show, with part of the experience being a room doused in thick purple lights and his trademark autotune on full tilt.
Hitting the stage wearing a #33 Kareem Abdul-Jabbar Lakers jersey in front of an exuberant mosh pit that had no chill, the artist affectionately known by loyal fans as “Lil Boat” performed tracks from all four of his hit mixtapes, including the latest offering Summer Songs 2.
The Atlanta rapper was joined onstage by both 21 Savage and Rae Sremmurd, who had just announced via social media that their SremmLife II Tour was featuring Yachty on its 28-city run that opens in New Orleans on 10/1.
D.R.A.M.'s "Broccoli," which features an instantly memorable hook from Yachty, is now Top 25 single sales on iTunes and just moved #43-#28 on the Rhythm Mediabase chart after breaking off of Soundcloud.
