IVORIES, TICKLED

On the night of their recent appearance at L.A.'s storied Greek Theatre, Portrait/Sony Music Masterworks artists The Piano Guys receive a plaque commemorating no fewer than 1 BILLION YouTube views, which—as those of you with a conversion chart will realize—will supply them with enough revenue to buy that pizza they'd been dreaming about. Seen just before a marathon group rendition of "Chopsticks" are (l-r) the group's Paul Anderson, YouTube's Lisa Bellamore, the group's Jon Schmidt and Steven Sharp Nelson, Sony Masterworks' Angela Barkan and the group's Al Van Der Beek.

Said Sony Masterworks prexy Bogdan Roscic, who appeared inside a YouTube cat video, "One billion views on YouTube is an amazing achievement for any artist and something to be proudly celebrated. It goes to show just how special the connection is that The Piano Guys have made with their fans across all media as they continue to push the boundaries through their music and their videos."

The Utah quartet's self-titled first album has been certified Gold, and their releases have collectively logged 302 weeks at #1 on various sales charts. Their next set, Uncharted, is due on 10/28.
