DASH RADIO ENTERS THE SCENE

With the digital music and streaming landscape shifting under our feet nearly every day now, the marketplace continues to evolve in new ways. Enter Dash Radio, an all-original radio network that has just kicked off its second year in operation as a digital broadcast platform and is now ready for its close-up with the music biz.

Why they’ve chosen HITS for the introductions is beyond us.

So what is Dash? It's a new era, and all about the app. Dash's multi-channel network consists of 75 stations broadcasting live 24/7 and features a collective of tastemaker channel partners who curate their own stations, from music superstars like Snoop Dogg, Odd Future, T-Boz of TLC and B-Real to iconic brands such as XXL and Playboy plus lifestyle/underground empires from Snapchat queen YesJulz (1am Radio) and Tech N9ne’s Strange Music (Independent Grind).

With over 200+ live personalities and shows and more than 5m in audience, they're building a platform to counter program music and content that’s not available via terrestrial radio. The company has studios in Hollywood and recently expanded to a location in Irvine.

Targeting the $18 billion a year broadcast industry business, Dash is available as a free app for iOS and Android, on desktop at dashradio.com, Sonos, and in automobiles through the AT&T Connected Car platform, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and Pioneer Electronics, with more partnerships being announced before the end of 2016.

“We have a vision to revolutionize the way radio is experienced by freeing our stations from corporate shackles that restrict music discovery, and instead give our talent and partners the freedom to program in their own way,” said Scott Keeney, aka DJ SKEE, found and CEO of Dash Radio. “The fact that we’re attracting new funding, new investors, new employees and new users validates this vision and paves the way for the exciting road we have ahead of us.”
