STING SETS ALBUM RELEASE DATE; RAISES $750K FOR OCEANA

Sting’s next album, 57th & 9th—which is also the address of where our New York correspondent ordered Thai takeout last night—will be released 11/11 on A&M/Interscope.

Currently on tour with Peter Gabriel, he snuck in a performance with Warner Music Nashville's The Last Bandoleros on Jimmy Kimmel Live! prior to his show at the Hollywood Bowl this week. The Bandoleros appear on the new album as well.

While in L.A. Sting delivered a concert to benefit Oceana, the international ocean conservation organization, which raised $750k for Oceana’s Save the Oceans, Feed the World campaign.

“Because of our supporters, Oceana will continue to win important victories – victories that protect the oceans, the amazing creatures that call them home, and the people who depend on them for sustenance and survival,” Oceana Board President Keith Addis.

Among the attendees were Sam Waterston, Ted Danson, Mary Steenburgen, Jeff Goldblum and Rosanna Arquette.
