On 7/24, icons of punk and alternative Henry Rollins, John Doe and Steve Jones will join a throng of Angelenos in celebrating the legacy of Johnny Ramone at Hollywood Forever Cemetery, with a panel discussion, screenings of two classic punk films and more. The event, hosted by Jones, will feature the flicks Rock ‘N’ Roll High School and Ladies and Gentlemen, the Fabulous Stains; Doe will moderate panel discussions with the casts of the films and Rollins will appear as a special guest.
There will be Ramones and other punk photography (courtesy of Morrison Hotel Gallery), Metallica guitarist Kirk Hammett’s collection of monster movie memorabilia and more. Tix can be found here; proceeds benefit the Johnny and Linda Ramone Foundation. Kids under 12 get in free.
After the event, attendees are welcome to join Jeff Jampol for a séance, during which he hopes to close at least two more acts.
