Capitol’s Katy Perry has made it through the weekend holding onto #1 at iTunes, while Britney Spears’ new RCA single has dropped to #4. On the album side, Logic leads with his surprise release.
Perry’s “Rise,” which NBC will be using as its Rio Olympics anthem, and Spears’ “Make Me” f/G-Eazy were surprise-released Friday. With Spears, Justin Timberlake and Sia, RCA has three of the top five slots on the songs chart.
Bobby Tarantino, the surprise mixtape from Def Jam/Visionary Music Group’s Logic, is picking up steam in its third week of release and is currently sitting at #1 on the iTunes Albums Chart. No doubt assisted by its $5.99 price tag, the album was released to coincide with Logic’s co-headlining tour with G-Eazy.
