It looks like BMG’s Blink-182 will bring Drake’s unprecedented run at the top of our Sales Plus Streaming (SPS) chart to an end. Indeed, Blink shows even greater momentum as the holiday weekend reaches its red-white-and-blue peak. Let's take a look, based on early sales, at the alt-rockers' formidable new set and 7/1's other top debut, which also happens to mark the return of a veteran act: self-described "progressive-soul" artist Maxwell.

Maxwell (Columbia) 55-60k, 50-55k

Speaking of returning figures from the '90s, one possible VP contender for Donald Trump, according to reports, is Newt Gingrich. We don't really have a joke about this, but it kinda makes its own gravy. Happy Fireworks and BBQ (or air conditioning and bong) to you and yours.
