COHEN JOINS
THE ETHOS AS MARKETING VEEP
Dan Cohen is stepping aboard the Republic chopper as VP Marketing, EVP Jim Roppo has announced.
Cohen, whom Roppo described as “one of the most respected executives in the game,” will ride herd, at the label's NYC HQ, on marketing initiatives for John Mellencamp, James Blake, Phantogram, Volbeat and many other roster acts—including new signings Isaac Gracie and JMR—while simultaneously working the word “ethos” into casual conversation.
The new veep, most recently at Caroline and previously at Capitol, expressed his excitement about the gig, his long-term admiration for the label and his gratitude “to Roppo, Monte, Avery, and Charlie for the opportunity.”
