CAROLINE BETS ON PHOTO FINISH
Caroline has partnered with Photo Finish for a distribution partnership, making the imprint—co-founded by Paradigm’s Matt Galle and Mike Marquis a decade ago—a completely independent label. The relaunch will see Photo Finish roll out new music from The Mowgli’s and new signing SHAED (a D.C. electro/indie-pop trio); its roster also features Handsome Ghost, among others. The label previously had JVs with Republic, Def Jam and WMG.
"Photo Finish has been discovering, developing and breaking artists with various major label partners over the past 10 years,” reads a quote from Galle. “We are incredibly excited to continue that tradition as we move into our next chapter as a fully independent label through our new distribution partnership with the Caroline team."
Caroline/Harvest GM Jacqueline Saturn proclaimed, “All of us at Caroline are thrilled to be in business with Matt and the entire Photo Finish team. We welcome them to the family.”
Added her fellow GM, Piero Giramonti, “Photo Finish’s record speaks for itself—they represent the type of label, artists, and industry partners that we look to build upon, as we make moves to evolve Caroline into the premiere independent artist development destination.
