Warner Music Group has created the position of Global Vice President, A&R, and promoted Aton Ben-Horin from Senior Director, Global A&R, to take the job.
Ben-Horin, a DJ who is also the owner and CEO of Plush Management and Plush Recording Studios, will provide A&R resources and creative support for all of WMG’s labels. He will also assist in developing new talent by helping identify songs, songwriters and producers in collaboration with WMG’s A&R executives.
“Through his hands-on experience as a producer, DJ, studio owner, and A&R exec, Aton has a rare depth of experience,” said Mike Caren, who will continue to be Ben-Horin’s boss. “He has an acute understanding of what it takes to make a hit record and is a trusted advisor to WMG’s artists and global teams.”
“Every day I feel challenged, excited and energized by the work we’re doing, and I can’t wait for the world to hear all of the incredible music we have in the pipeline,” said Ben-Horin, who has been involved with Flo Rida’s “My House” and “G.D.F.R.,” Jason Derulo’s “Talk Dirty” and “Wiggle,” and David Guetta’s “Hey Mama” and “Bad.”
