At the recent National Music Publishers Association confab in NYC, Sony/ATV ruler Marty Bandier presents the legendary Sting with the NMPA Songwriter Icon Award. The troubadour, whom Bandier inked to EMI Music Publishing nearly two decades ago (see a classic pic of the pair below), performed two Police classics at the event, joined on one by Warner Music Nashville's The Last Bandoleros. Later, Sting introduced Marty to a special "cigar" from Indonesia that got them both baked like a potato.
