TIDAL ADDS PRINCE RARITIES ON HIS 58TH BIRTHDAY

To celebrate Prince’s 58th birthday, Jay Z’s Tidal is delivering a present to his fans by streaming 15 of his albums that had not been previously available.

Among the titles making their streaming debut today are The Black Album, Chaos & Disorder, Rave Un2 the Joy Fantastic and The Gold Experience, which includes his last Top 5 hit “The Most Beautiful Girl In The World.”

The arrival of the Prince material also includes B-sides, unreleased recordings and live albums created between 1987 and 1996. Included are recordings from the aftershows he performed during his 21-night stint at London's O2 Arena in 2007.

Meanwhile, in Minnesota, a judge has fast-tracked a hearing on who can be considered an heir to Prince’s estate. Claimants have until the end of the week to file sworn statements with details about their genetic relationship with Prince. Claimants so far include Prince's sister, Tyka Nelson, several half-siblings, and a Colorado prison inmate who says Prince was his father. The next hearing is scheduled for June 27.

Prince died on April 21 from an accidental overdose of the painkiller fentanyl.
