SIA'S STREAMS AND BOWLS

How good has 2016 been to Sia? Her single “Cheap Thrills” was #1 on Spotify last week and has exploded this week on multiple radio formats; the song has spent four weeks at #1 on Shazam; and enthusiasm for her Nostalgic for the Present Tour in L.A. has led to the announcement of a second Hollywood Bowl show.

To top it off, the Monkey Puzzle/RCA act has risen to #4 on Spotify’s most-played artists, behind only Drake, Rihanna and Justin Bieber. A less self-composed artist might be tempted to wig out.

And on Wednesday, Sia showed up to the live finale of CBS’s Survivor gave finalist Tai Trang $50k to do with as he pleases and $50k to donate to an animal charity of his choosing. An animal rights activist and a fan of the shows, Sia was impressed by Trang’s animal activism throughout the show’s run this year.

Tickets go on sale Friday (5/20) for the 10/9 Bowl show; pre-sale for Citi card holders starts today. Sia’s tour, her first in five years, starts 9/29 and will hit 22 cities.
