RAPPAPORT JOINS COLUMBIA LEGAL TEAM

Columbia Records has tapped Kim Rappaport as Vice President, Business & Legal Affairs, bringing her over from RCA Records. She will report to Nancy Marcus Seklir and Andrew Ross, Senior Vice Presidents, Business & Legal Affairs for Columbia Records, who made the announcement.

A Senior Director, Business & Legal Affairs for RCA since 2013, she joined Sony Music Entertainment in 2007 as counsel in the corporate Business & Legal Affairs department. She will continue to based in New York. Rappaport began her career in the music business as an intellectual property associate at the law firm of Arnold & Porter, where she represented record labels in industry-wide digital copyright actions.

“We are very excited to have Kim bring her passion for music, combined with her legal expertise, to her new role at Columbia,” Marcus Seklir stated.
