PURPLE PROSE

The passing of Prince is yet another devastating loss in a year already heavy with major departures. But amid the sorrow we remember a dazzling career that saw some of the biggest hits and albums of the last few decades and countless unforgettable live performances. The public has responded to losing Prince with a huge run on his recorded work, as catalog demand goes through the roof. Though his life is at an end, a new phase of his purple reign has clearly begun.

He was one of the greatest artists of the modern era. His songs fueled a million parties, and his message was trailblazing in its inclusiveness. We can't imagine our lives without his music.
