DEF JAM UNVEILS BIBI

Def Jam introduced dynamic new artist Bibi Bourelly with a packed showcase at The Roxy on Tuesday night (4/12).

Wielding a powerful voice and sassy, confident spirit, Bourelly moved through a soulful seven-song set from her forthcoming EP, including the singles “Sally” and “Ego,” plus a duet with label mate Earl St. Clair, who joined her onstage for a song called, "Perfect."

With an audience filled of various tastemakers from radio, digital and press plus including peers from the songwriting community who were gleefully cheering her on from the crowd (Bourelly is well known for being the pen behind Rihanna’s smash “Bitch Better Have My Money”), Bourelly made quite an impression, at one point stopping the show to tell "all the industry people" gathered up front and to move out of the way so regular fans could dance. "If I was at your show, I'd be dancing MY fucking ass off," she assured. One thing is overwhelmingly true about Bibi: she keeps it 100% real.

So it's no coincidence then, that Bourelly's new project is called called Free The Real—which will be two EP’s, the first of which drops in early May.
