The Black Keys’ Dan Auerbach and Pat Carney are getting as much abuse as praise after telling Rolling Stone that they “regret” having inducted Steve Miller into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in the wake of Miller's headline-grabbing backstage diatribe against the Rock Hall and the biz as a whole.
“He said, 'The whole process was unpleasant,'" Auerbach grouses in the Q&A. "And for Pat and I, honestly, the most unpleasant part was being around him."
But Auerbach is taking the most abuse on the socials for lamenting at another point that Miller “didn't even figure out who we were.”
