BLAKE: A MEMORABLE START FOR "FORGET"

"Came Here to Forget," the new single from Warner Music Nashville star and The Voice coach Blake Shelton, has zipped to #1 at iTunes out of the box. It's the first single from his forthcoming 12th studio album.

The song, which hit radio like a freight train this morning, details the story of Shelton's burgeoning relationship with Gwen Stefani and has garnered considerable attention in social media and the celebrity press.

"I"ve had a lot of music over the years but I don't think I've ever had a song before that's such a direct look into my life," Shelton says. "That's why I'm so excited about this particular song."

The label's John Esposito and Peter Strickland are turning around in their chairs with joy.
