GARRATT GETS A LIFT

Island U.K.’s man of the moment Jack Garratt (signed through a JV with Interscope in the U.S.) has been named Vevo’s first LIFT artist of 2016, adding even more marketing weight to his debut-album campaign after being backed by the BRITs as Critics’ Choice and the BBC through his Sound of and Introducing Act of the Year win. An eight-week video program begins this week in the lead-up to the release of Phase on 2/19, featuring exclusive content and performances from the multi-instrumentalist.

Alongside the BBC, Vevo has been backing Garratt for a while, and named him a dcvr Ones to Watch towards the end of 2014. His video for second single “Chemical” was premiered on the platform in February 2015, and he played Vevo’s stage at The Great Escape festival in May. The video premiere of third track “Weathered” followed in July, and he sold out the Shepherd’s Bush Empire (2k cap.) and played Reading and Leeds Festival in August.

Garratt’s latest single, “Breathe Life,” was released in October, he won the Critics’ Choice gong in November and his live audition session went online in December. His Vevo channel now has over 4.7 million views. Check out the full story here:
