At the Dead & Co. New Year's Eve extravaganza at L.A.'s Fabulous Forum, ROAR chief/manager Bernie Cahill shares a moment with hoops great Bill Walton that both will later swear was a hallucination. Happy 2016, and so much for our resolution not to smoke so much weed.

The band, meanwhile—featuring members of the Grateful Dead and singer/guitarist John Mayer—killed it on an array of classic material, including the perennials "Sugar Magnolia" and "Uncle John's Band" as well "Terrapin Station," "Brokedown Palace," "Dark Star" and "Ramble on Rose." Mayer's guitar playing evoked Jerry as no one has since the former frontman departed this mortal coil.

At midnight, a giant joint flew over the crowd amid a storm of confetti and glitter. At least we think that's what happened.
