CEELO'S NEW JOINT

CeeLo Green Announces Label JV With Sony

With the goal of discovering and developing new R&B/Soul talent, CeeLo Green has launched a new label, Mothership Entertainment, in a joint venture with Sony Music.

Green plans on being very hands on with his signings and has confirmed that he’ll be opening recording studios in both Atlanta and Las Vegas. Additionally, Team Mothership will able to sign artists to any of the labels underneath the Sony Music umbrella.

“CeeLo Green is a tremendously successful songwriter, producer and artist who throughout his solo career and work with Goodie Mob and Gnarls Barkley has proven himself to be a gifted and versatile talent. We are delighted to welcome him back to the Sony Music family, and look forward to partnering with him to develop great new artists and music through our new relationship,” announced SME CEO Doug Morris.

We’ll smoke to that… or anything for that matter.
