Drake is the most-streamed artist of the year worldwide on Spotify, which broke out its tops-of-2015 list this morning. The Toronto rapper’s tally YTD stands at a stunning 1.8 billion. Drake outpointed last year’s champ, Ed Sheeran, who dropped to #2, followed by The Weeknd, Maroon 5 and Kanye West.

The Weeknd's breakthrough album Beautify Behind the Madness (XO/Republic) was the year’s most-streamed album, followed by Drake's If You're Reading This It's Too Late (YMCMB/Republic).

Rihanna was the top female artist with 1 billion streams, and Justin Bieber registered the most streams in a single day with 36m.

The U.S. Top 5 is Drake—who also topped the albums list—The Weeknd, Kanye, Sheeran and Eminem.
