DANGER MOUSE IS SO NEXT CENTURY

Esteemed producer (and Adele 25 collaborator) Brian Burton, aka Danger Mouse, has unveiled details about 30th Century Records, his imprint in collaboration with Columbia Records.

The first release from the new label, 30th Century Records Compilation Volume I, drops on 12/18, promising "11 tracks of guitar-based brilliance."

Two singles are available for sale today, Sam Cohen’s collaboration with Danger Mouse entitled “Lose Your Illusion” and Nine Pound Shadow’s “Melody." You can check them out on NPR here.

The compilation will feature songs from Autolux, Apache Sun, Waterstrider, plus an exclusive new track from Dan Auerbach’s project, The Arcs.

In a related story, a HITS editor attempted to play air guitar today after smoking a massive bowl. The back injury he sustained is not believed to be serious.
