TENNESSEE WHISKERS

Warner/Chappell CEO Jon Platt and W/C Nashville head Ben Vaughn have had a pretty fine Nashville week, what with their winning their third straight ASCAP Publisher of the Year honor, a Songwriter of the Year award for Ashley Gorley, CMA Song of the Year for Liz Rose and Little Big Town (for the Capitol Nashville monster "Girl Crush") and triple CMA score, including Album of the Year, for Mercury Nashville's chart-topping breakout Chris Stapleton.

Platt sent out a memo congratulating Vaughn and team, and vowed that after Stapleton's explosive success the entire staff would be required to grow long, lustrous beards like Ben's.
