CASEY AT THE BAT FOR BIG DEAL TEAM

Casey Robison, who’s been with Big Deal Music for two and a half of the company’s three years of existence, has been appointed partner and SVP, putting him in charge of Big Deal’s pop department.

Highlights of young Casey’s pop co-publishing initiative at BDM include One Direction’s “Best Song Ever,” “Story of My Life” and “Drag Me Down” (as well as the majority of the group’s other singles and album cuts), Jason Derulo’s “Wiggle,” Fifth Harmony’s “BO$$,” Pitbull’s “Fireball,” Nick Jonas’ “Chains” and “Teacher,” Deorro x Chris Brown’s “Five More Hours,” Shawn Mendes’ “Stitches” and Rachel Platten’s latest, “Stand by You.”

Big Deal founding partners Kenny MacPherson, Jamie Cerreta and Dave Ayers made Casey the company’s first L.A.-based creative hire in 2013, reuniting the trio with a former Chrysalis Music colleague whose star was on the rise.

“We’ve enjoyed working with Casey since he was fresh out of school,” said Kenny Mac as he announced the move. “His growth here, following his early days at Chrysalis and an impressive run at BMI, has been nothing short of remarkable.”

“I’m so proud to be a partner at Big Deal Music, working with people that I respect and admire who have been a part of my career since the beginning,” Robison acknowledged.
