SYCO/Columbia Lads Score 100k in First 24 Hours of Preorder

SYCO/Columbia's One Direction is off to a galloping start with new album Made in the A.M., which has sold more than 100k in the first 24 hours of its pre-order.

The set, the deluxe version of which sits at #2 at iTunes (behind Drake & Future's What a Time to Be Alive), comes out on 11/13, at which time it will face off with Justin Bieber's new release for the #1 spot. The standard version of the album is #9.

The Richard Griffiths-managed 1D, whose new Instant Grat track, "Infinity," is the #1 single at iTunes, will be taking a much-publicized hiatus in March, and fans are clearly energized for what could be the group's swan song.
