An exhibition of rare photographs of The Beatles and The Rolling Stones culled from the Bob Bonis Archive, in association with Gallery Schuster of Berlin, will take place next week at Andaz West Hollywood.

Bonis was the U.S. tour manager for both the Fabs and the Stones during their first tours of America, providing him with myriad opportunities to snap these intimate and unguarded photos, many previously unseen. The photographs will be on display at Andaz WeHo from Sept. 15 through December as part of the hotel's rotating art program.

Andaz will host a private, media-only preview reception next Tuesday, (9/15) from 7-9pm with Bob Bonis Archive curator Larry Marion providing commentary and background. A public reception will be held on Wednesday from 7-9pm.

The exhibition has been curated from a cache of 5,000 shots of the two bands taken between 1964 and 1966. Kept private by Bonis, who passed away in 1992, the photos were subsequently uncovered by his son Alex, and were first made available for public purchase in early 2015 as limited-edition, Grammy Museum-certified, fine-art prints. Select photos will be available for purchase for a limited time at Andaz, where Keith Richards famously tossed a TV off his balcony onto the Sunset Strip during the hotel’s original incarnation as the Continental Hyatt House.
