30TH CENTURY MOUSE

Danger Mouse and Columbia have finalized a label deal for the producer/songwriter, Rolling Stone reports. The new imprint, 30th Century Records, will release music from artists personally signed by Danger Mouse, whose friends and family know him as Brian Burton. His first signing is L.A.-based experimental rock trio Autolux, who are currently working on their follow-up to 2010's Transit Transit. "In the dreamless world of the music industry, it's rare to find a champion who wants to use the business to promote the art rather than the art to promote the business," Autolux tells RS. "When Brian heard our record, it was clear he understood what we are doing and where we want to go."

Burton has reportedly been working with Adele and the Red Hot Chili Peppers on their latest album projects. It isn’t known how many of the 20 songs said to be in contention for Adele’s album he produced and/or co-wrote. The tracks are now being mixed in a high-end Hollywood studio.
