iHEART SUMMIT: STRAIGHT INTO BURBANK

Programmers, Weasels Converge for Heavy Kibitzing

iHeartMedia programmers are converging on Burbank this week for the semi-annual iHeartRadio Summit, which commences tomorrow—so naturally record weasels will arrive in force for the event, hosted as ever by Tom Poleman and John Sykes. Majors and indies alike will offer presentations on new music, and there will be performances by buzzing artists. The prior confab, in Feb., included appearances by Kanye West, Tori Kelly, Florida Georgia Line, Sia and George Ezra.

Tuesday afternoon will be taken up by UMG’s presentations; Wednesday will find Sony, WMG and key artist managers taking the podium, with an invitation-only reception planned for that evening. Thursday will be Independents Day.

Let the “Hey Buddy”-ing begin.
