KENDRICK GONNA BE ALRIGHT

There aren't many obvious radio singles in the magnum opus that is To Pimp a Butterfly but the Pharrell-produced "Alright" was always an obvious standout. Now Kendrick Lamar has delivered a video with imagery and message as huge as the hook in the song. Colin Tilley and The Little Homies directed the clip.

L.A. locals got a glimpse of what was happening over Memorial Day weekend via Instagram, when several users photographed Lamar suspended from cables above the intersection of Figueroa and 11th Street in DTLA. Even then, the video looked ambitious and inspired. The world in "Alright" is black and white, in slow motion and suspended animation; a surreal trip of what's real, but it ends with a smile. Lamar let's us all know he's gonna be alright.
