Muse Celebrates First #1 Album

Warner Bros.Muse have scored their first #1 album with Drones. The album has topped both the HITS Building Album Sales Chart with 75k and the Sales Plus Streaming (SPS) Chart with 78k.

Republic’s Of Monsters and Men, meanwhile, enjoy a solid bow at #2 for Beneath the Skin, earning 55k and 59k at SPS.

Two other debuts made it into the Top 15, as NOW's Now Country 8 (#8, 20k) and Republic Nashville/BMLG's A Thousand Horses (#10, 17k) bring some twang to this hoedown.

At #5, the Rolling Stones re-enter the chart with a deluxe version of their 1971 classic, Sticky Fingers, which raked in another 30k for UMe. Wild horses couldn't drag this one away.

Powered by a 99-cent sale at Google and one for $5.99 at iTunes, Warner Bros.’ heavy-hitting rock duo Royal Blood re-enter the album chart at a lofty #7 with 21k.

At SPS, Country's rising star, MCA Nashville's Sam Hunt, stays strong, jumping #10-7 and lassoing in another 30k for his debut album. The album is already Gold and has sold 2m+ singles with two radio chart-toppers and a crossover sensation.

Speaking of the power of singles, S-Curve/Hollywood's Andy Grammer, RCA's Walk the Moon and YMCMB/Republic's Nicki Minaj (#23, #24 & #25 respectively) prove to be the big winners at SPS, considering that none of their releases are still present on the chart for album sales alone.

Streeting this week are albums from Hear's James Taylor, Fueled by Ramen's Nate Reuss, RCA's Hilary Duff, Mega Collider's Third Eye Blind, Warner Bros.' Adam Lambert, Columbia's Walk Off the Earth and Mad Love/Interscope's Ryn Weaver.
