PRESIDENTIAL PRINCE

Prince is currently on the "Hit and Run" tour with his band 3rdEyeGirl, where he announces venues shortly before playing them. This week, before selling out two "pop up" shows at DC’s Warner Theatre, he rocked the White House.

The two-hour VIP concert was held Saturday evening in the East Room, where several other stars like Aretha Franklin, Patti LaBelle and John Legend have played in the past. Prince's show was part of the African-American Music Appreciation Month celebration and attended by President Obama and his family.

PageSix reports the private party also included a mix of celebs like Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson and his date, singer Ciara, Jon Bon Jovi, Tyler Perry, Gayle King and more. The lucky crowd watched Prince jam hits like “Kiss” and “Purple Rain” with the show's highlight being a duet with Stevie Wonder on "Signed, Sealed, Delivered, I'm Yours."

Prince recently played the surprise show "Rally 4 Peace" just a few weeks after the protests in Baltimore brought national attention to the death of Freddie Gray, where he debuted his best song in years, a melodic protest song entitled "Baltimore".
