Facebook COO Sheryl Sandberg made use of the site she oversees to post a moving and eloquent tribute to her husband, Dave Goldberg, 30 days after his death, and it has gone viral.
She wrote her Wednesday post to mark the end of sheloshim, the 30-day period of mourning in Judaism that follows the death of a loved one, and because she wanted "to give back to what others have given to me… So I am sharing what I have learned in hope that it helps someone else. In the hope that there can be some meaning from this tragedy.
“I have lived thirty years in these thirty days. I am thirty years sadder. I feel like I am thirty years wiser.”
You’ll find Sandberg’s tribute here.
