BIG BONNAROO NOOZE

Live Nation has completed a deal with Superfly and AC Entertainment, the founding partners of Bonnaroo, to create a new partnership through which LN assumes a controlling interest in the festival.

In his statement, LN chieftain Michael Rapino listed some of the more than 60 fests in the company’s portfolio, includiong Austin City Limits Music Festival, Lollapalooza, Reading, Leeds, T in the Park, Electric Daisy Carnival, Rock Werchter and Watershed Music Festival. "We continue to expand the industry's most unparalleled and scalable festival platform, all while driving strong revenue and growth for Live Nation on a global basis,” he then noted. “Bonnaroo is another crown jewel in this festival channel strategy, one that appeals to both fans and artists in uniqueness and experience.”

The LN announcement comes on the heels of the news that Red Bull Media House will livestream the fest June 11-14 on www.redbull.tv/bonnaroo, the Red Bull TV app on Android, iOS and Windows phone, through Apple TV and Samsung TV's Red Bull channels, and as a free downloadable app on Amazon Fire TV, Kindle Fire, Nexus Player, Roku and Xbox 360. The Red Bull TV stream will also be carried live bonnaroo.com.
