PAPER, TICKETS, ROCK

Warner Bros.' Kid Rock just bested Garth Brooks in the state of Michigan by shattering the country icon's previous record of 107,000 in ticket sales to blow out 145,000 tickets at the DTE Energy Music Theatre. The Detroit rap-rocker turned Country-crossover star's First Kiss : Cheap Date tour will also break a record set by his pal Bog Seger, for ost shows played in a row at the venue.

Due to very obvious overwhelming demand, the mulitformat Michigander is adding two more shows to his historic run for Friday August 21st and Saturday August 22nd. Those seats go on sale May 2nd at 10am.

After completing this historic run Rock will be counting fat stacks of cash and perhaps adding to that already illustrious car collection.
