FRUGE FOR TEXAS

April 23, 2015

After more than 10 years with the CBS Radio cluster in Las Vegas, Charese Fruge has been named Vice President of Programming and Operations Manager for CBS's six stations in the Houston market by SVP and market manager Sarah Frazier

Fruge has built a long, successful history in Nevada, where she is a member of the Nevada Broadcasters Association Hall of Fame and collected numerous programming awards, including Most Influential Women in Radio for the years 2012 and 2013.

In her new role, Fruge will oversee programming for MIX 96.5 (KHMX-FM), Sports Radio (KIKK-AM), SportsRadio 610 (KILT-AM), 100.3 The Bull (KILT-FM), HOT 95-7 (KKHH-FM) and MEGA 101 (KLOL-FM).  Additionally, she will be day-to-day PD at both Mix and Hot.

“This role is the opportunity of a lifetime and a chance to finally be back in the South,” said Fruge. “I’m honored, and looking forward to working with Bruce Logan and help take these amazing brands to the next level. I have made lifelong friends and memories in Las Vegas and appreciate them always making me look good.”

“Charese is a talented programmer and leader,” said Frazier. "We are thrilled to have her join the Houston team, as we continue to grow and build upon our brands under her guidance.”

As part of the movement around her appointment, Cat Thomas steps into the VP Programming slot in Vegas; several other programmers also received promotions. You can read about those here.
