Music industry veteran John Loscalzo passed away Wednesday; he was 52.
Most recently Director of Music for CBS Local, Loscalzo was best known as an on-air talent at WPDH, WRCN, KROQ, WDRE and WXRK (K-Rock), where he eventually rose to Operations Manager.
He handled Alternative and Metal promotion for MCA Records in Los Angeles, worked in Rock programming for Sony Worldwide Networks and in 2001 joined Viacom and MTV Networks where he worked for nine years until seguing to CBS in 2012.
He's survived by his wife, Tracy Zamot (who is Director of Artist and Music Industry Communications at Pandora), and their baby daughter, Gracie, 4.
