Simon Perry has been upped to Chief Creative Officer/Head of A&R at ReverbNation, CEO Michael Doernberg has announced. In his new post, Perry will continue to oversee curation and development initiatives for aspiring artists. He has been SVP Creative/Head of A&R since arriving at the company in 2013.
Perry's background as an exec, producer, manager and writer/performer have all come into play at the company; he served as a staff writer at BMG, Bug/Windswept and Nettwerk, and co-founded music companies Archangel West Artist Management and Archangel Media Film and TV.
Doernberg noted that Perry's "proven track record at combining artistry and commerce make him the ideal candidate to lead this important area of our business.”
"ReverbNation’s vantage point as a global source for artists at the beginning of their careers gives us both an opportunity and a responsibility to contribute to the development of new artists in a way that benefits the entire music ecosystem," Perry noted.
