iTunes Top Ten Action

Drake is back on top of the iTunes album chart and showing zero signs of slowing down, while Kelly Clarkson drops to #2. On the strength of several big singles, the Fifty Shades of Grey soundtrack sticks in the Top 3.

Giant ratings on Fox's hip-hop soap Empire are finally starting to move the needle in sales, as the preorder Season 1 ST debuts at #4. That's one of two preorders in the top ten: Mumford & Sons' May release of Wilder Mind is at #9. Taylor Swift, Brandi Carlile, Ed Sheeran and Hozier round out the Top Ten.

On the singles side, The Ronson-Mars "Uptown Funk" express continues its incredible reign at #1, while Ellie Goulding, Ed Sheeran and the trinity of Rihanna/Kanye/McCartney follow. A song from the most recent episode of Empire, Conqueror," featuring Estelle (who also wrote it) and cast member Jussie Smollett, completes the Top 5.

In other news, Congress has outlawed dancing.
