CALL HIM MR. STEVEN

Expat exec James Steven—who also answers to Steven James—has been elevated to EVP Communications & Marketing at Warner Music, effective immediately. A member of WMG's senior management team, the New York-based Steven will continue to report to WMG's CEO Steve Cooper.

“Communications plays an essential role in presenting WMG’s mission to the world at large, and in connecting and unifying our people across the globe,” Cooper notes in the release. “Hard-working and resourceful, James and his team are doing a fantastic job, and I congratulate him on this well-deserved promotion. Plus, I love his accent.”

Steven’s well-crafted offering reads as follows: “WMG has an incomparable story, a unique perspective and an impressive array of executive, artist and songwriter talent. I've benefited greatly from having inspiring mentors and colleagues, and I'm grateful for this opportunity at such a dynamic time for our company and the industry. And to be absolutely clear, I’m James, he’s Steve.”

Steven joined WMG in 2007 and relocated to New York in 2012. He looks forward to spring.
