A NEW TESORIERO SCENARIO

Def Jam Ups Exec to EVP Media and Artist Relations

Gabe Tesoriero, a ten-year veteran of the Def Jam team, has been promoted to Executive Vice President, Media and Artist Relations by CEO Steve Bartels.

In his new role, Tesoriero will work closely with the West and East Coast staffs on behalf of Def Jam's venerable roster of artists and executives, leading all media, publicity, creative, and imaging campaigns. Having represented Kanye West in the same capacity since the Roc-A-Fella days, this exec knows a thing or two about how to twerk the media.

“I have worked with Gabe personally for over ten years and am excited to be announcing his well-deserved promotion,” said Bartels. "Both Dion 'No ID' Wilson and I are looking forward to the energy Gabe will bring to all of our artist campaigns."

Tesoriero said of his appointment, "I happen to believe that Def Jam has the greatest artist roster and the most relevant and meaningful brand in music culture today. I’m grateful to Steve Bartels for the faith and opportunity to help him guide–and in whatever way I can–lead this great company forward."
