CARIBOU ANOINTED EURO INDIE ALBUM OF THE YEAR

Caribou’s Our Love (City Slang)—the work of a Canadian artist on a German label whose music is especially popular in the U.K.—was named the European independent album of the year by indie org Impala.

It’s the sixth studio album by Dan Snaith, who records under the Caribou nameplate. Our Love, which came out on Merge in North America, was one of 23 albums shortlisted for the award, including 2015 releases from alt-J, IceAge and Grammy winner Aphex Twin.

The full list of nominees can be found on the Impala site.
