iHEART GETS REAL WITH 92.3

There Is a new home for Hip Hop and R&B in Los Angeles

iHeartMedia is shaking up L.A. radio big time with the debut of Real 92.3, launching tomorrow morning at 9:23am with "10,000 joints in a row" commerical-free, featuring hits from contemporary artists like Chris Brown, Jay Z, Drake, Nicki Minaj and Usher.

Taking the PD reins will be iHeartMedia SVP of Urban Programming Doc Wynter, who has been with the company since 1988. "It's what L.A. listeners have been waiting for,” said Wynter about his new appointment. "Starting tomorrow morning we’ll start rollin’ 10,000 joints in a row!"

"Doc is the best urban programmer in America,” said iHeart programming overlord Tom Poleman. "His leadership, passion and creativity—and his incredible track record of success—will have a huge impact."

The programming line-up for the new format will be announced soon.
