MUSIC EVOLUTION

The BBC revealed its annual "Sound of 2015" list today, having polled music critics and industry figures to source the most exciting new music artists for the coming year. Since the list's inception in 2003, BBC's tastemaker panel has predicted the eventual superstardom of a widely varied but distinguished group of artists, such as Adele, 50 Cent, Ellie Goulding, Jessie J and, last year, Sam Smith. 2015's winners are Polydor's London trio Years & Years; the Top Five also includes Republic's James Bay #2, unsigned South London grimer Stormzy at #3, Columbia's indigo child Raury (whose likely breakout we've discussed previously) at #4, and Island spoken-word artist George The Poet rounding out the Top Five.
